What’s new for the 2023 Ford F-150?

There are a couple of exciting new developments for 2023. First, there’s the new Rattler package. Available for the base XL model, this package adds a range of off-road-ready equipment. It’s designed to give shoppers a very affordable take on an adventurous drive, with all-terrain tires, a rear-locking differential, off-road-tuned shocks, and more. If you’re longing to hit the trail, but don’t want to spend more on the Tremor package or F-150 Raptor model, the Rattler package is perfect for you.

Also new to the lineup is the F-150 Raptor R, a high-performance version of Ford’s famous desert-racing pickup truck. Under the hood, you’ll find a 5.2-liter supercharged V8 that delivers blistering speed with 700 horsepower and 640 pound-feet of torque. And the fun doesn’t end there, because this high-octane truck also enhances performance, adding FOX live valve shocks, 37-inch tires, improved ground clearance, and more.

Which powertrains are available for the 2023 Ford F-150?

You’ll recognize many of the 2023 F-150 powertrains as carryovers from the previous model year. Of course, the aforementioned Raptor R’s supercharged V8 is a new addition to the lineup. And, just like last year, these engines are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. For most trim models, rear-wheel drive is standard and four-wheel drive is optional.
