Since the 1966 model of the Ford Bronco was released, it has proven to become an adventure icon shared through many generations. Representing hard work, adventures, family, outdoors and an escape from reality, the Bronco has continued to inspire many to live their dreams. For years the Bronco has lived on in the hearts of those whose lives were touched by this iconic vehicle. After a 25 year hiatus, our team at Keystone Ford in Chambersburg, PA, along with innumerable die-hard Bronco fans, are ecstatic to finally bring you information about the revival of this long-time off-road hero!
The 2021 Ford Bronco has returned as the flagship of the new all-4x4 class of rugged SUVs on the market today. Not only has Ford created an overall heritage-inspired style, it has seamlessly meshed its original styling features with modern, revolutionary design elements, features, capabilities and comforts like no other vehicle on the market. The Bronco will come in a traditional two-door model, as well as a new four-door model and a slightly smaller sport model. Without further ado, let us take you on a virtual tour of this new and improved off-road beast.
The new Built Wild™ theme of the 2021 Bronco only begins to describe the agility, strength, functionality, durability and reliability that this rugged vehicle can offer. Just like the first generation of the Bronco, Ford wanted to make G.O.A.T. the mission of this all new Bronco. For those unfamiliar with this term, it stands for “Goes Over Any Terrain”, and Ford has worked hard to ensure that is exactly how this new Bronco operates.
The G.O.A.T. Driver-Selectable Modes offer seven options to suit any driving condition you may come across. From Normal, Eco, Sport, Slippery / Sand, all the way to Baja, Mud / Ruts and Rock Crawl for even the most extreme driving conditions.
The Bronco also comes with two 4x4 systems to choose from to suit any level of outdoor adventure enthusiast. The base setup utilizes a two-speed electronic “shift-on-the-fly” transfer case, whereas the advanced system expertly incorporates an innovative two-speed “electromechanical” transfer case which adds the ability for on-demand automatic engagement between 2H and 4H.
Other available segment-first exclusive technologies for the Bronco include; Trail Control™ which is a specially designed cruise control for low-speed trail driving, Trail One-Pedal Drive making acceleration and braking control more precise in slow-mode rock crawling, and Trail Turn Assist which uses torque vectoring to tighten your off-road turning radiuses.
Along with being at the forefront of all off-road technology, the Bronco’s legendary design provides the best-in-class 11.6-inch ground clearance, best-in-class water fording capability of up to 33.5 inches, and maximum breakover and departure angles of 29-degrees and 37.2-degrees respectively.
The new 2021 Bronco adds to its appeal with seven unique series being offered along with their respective color and trim combinations. There are also 11 color options, four content packages and numerous other available options to suit any lifestyle or need. If you are looking for even more of a customized ride, then the 200 dealer-installable accessories are sure to supply an almost endless amount of options to create a “one-of-a-kind” off-road adventure vehicle.
What is a true off-road vehicle without the ability to remove the doors and the vehicle top? The Bronco doesn’t disappoint in this area either. With the ability to easily remove the frameless doors and modular hard- or soft-top opening, you’ll enjoy the largest overall open-top view in its class, and elevate your outdoor experience like never before.
Inspired by the original Bronco, the interior design is laid out seamlessly making every control intuitive in location and style. The interior colors and materials combine outdoor comfort with rugged off-road functionality.
The available class-exclusive 12-inch SYNC® 4 System with all new over-the-air updates integrates into the FordPass Performance app with off-road navigation. This class-exclusive feature allows owners to easily plan, navigate and share their off-road adventures with all their friends.
Along with the available 360-degree camera system, the Bronco also offers class-exclusive “spotter” views providing additional visibility while conquering every technically advanced off-road experience.
Say goodbye to the old tattered and torn paper maps, and say hello to the new class-exclusive content from NeoTreks’ AccuTerra® Maps, which offers more than 1,000 advanced topographic trail maps and off-road trail guides to take your off-road game to a whole new level of exploration.
It’s no secret that the new Bronco is here for the long haul, and ready for adventure. The high-strength steel roll cage combined with available Ford Co-Pilot360™ driver-assist technologies make your off-road dreams become a safe and attainable reality. The available washable rubberized floors and integrated drains along with the marine-grade vinyl seating surfaces allow you to choose when your adventure comes to an end instead of that choice being made by your vehicle. From here on out, you won’t have to worry about forgetting all those epic adventures either. With the “bring-your-own-device” rack with 12-volt power connections built into the instrument panel, you will easily be able to mount all your cameras, phones, and navigation devices in a safe and productive place. As Jim Farley, Ford Chief Operating Officer says, “They’re built with the toughness of an F-Series Truck and performance spirit of Mustang – and come wrapped in one of the most stunning and functional off-road designs that’s true to the original Bronco design DNA.”. You can see why this is the ultimate, one and only off-road destroying monster that you will ever need.
